Disposing of trash. Be organized and have help with if you win a unit with large items.

Search these items carefully

· Pockets of clothing: check the pockets for money and jewelry

· Check shoes for cash: (rubber gloves are nice for this)

· Check books for cash: Elderly often would place cash savings between pages rather than in the bank

· Check all drawers: people hide things of value

Researching winnings. To obtain a value, the very best way to research. Look for the manufacturers Makers Mark

Look the item over closely -- collectables, figurines, fine china, plates, glassware and cookware will have all of the information on the bottom.

You can use the internet to research won items by going to www.google.com and typing in all the information you can find on the item. Another option is to go to www.ebay.com and search for the specific item. These two sites should help you come up with a value.

· Take notes on how others are marketing their items.

· How are they listed?

· What category are they listed under?

· How many bids are on their item?

· How much time is left before the auction ends?

· How is their description of their item?

Check www.craigslist.com to find a value on any quality large items.
